150 Stories from the AGB: Tell YOURS!

Join us in celebrating Canada and the AGB!

This February, The Lieutenant Governor, the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, visited the Art Gallery of Burlington to participate in a round table discussion with Burlington Mayor Rick Goldring and others. During her speech, afterwards, she shared her idea of a project she has initiated called 150 Stories. In her words:

“It is my hope that by actively listening to our stories we can become more aware of and better understand each other and, in turn, create the communities and country of which we can be proud.”

The AGB is a community that is made up of many individual teams and people. As we look towards the future, we recognize that our strength lies in our ability to connect with others within our own Gallery community so that we can in turn can reach out and continue to grow.

Therefore, we have decided to follow her Honour’s inspirational idea and create our own 150 stories – specific to the AGB. Please consider contributing to our book of 150 stories. In 150 words, share what it means to be a part of the AGB.

Submit Your Story! Here’s How:

We will be collecting these stories from now until our Volunteer Appreciation event on April 25th where we will have the stories on display.

Please submit your story to via email to Becky@agb.life. We won’t stop collecting until we have reached 150!

Please consider submitting images (yourself, your art, etc.) along with your 150 words.

Looking forward to hearing your story!
