Now located at 717 Centre Road, Waterdown, our new home boasts separate spaces for classroom learning and a fully equipped member studio where our studio pass members can create 7 day a week.

The guild is a not-for-profit corporation financially sustained through its education programmes, membership fees, fundraisers, grants and the generosity and support of various foundations and private donations. An Executive Committee, elected by the membership, is responsible for the operation, management, and planning of the Guild. Through the participation, enthusiasm and contributions of its members, the guild has continued to thrive for over 50 years.

The main objectives of the Guild are:

1. to bring together people of similar interest in order to encourage mutual stimulation and to exchange ideas,

2. to maintain a Guild headquarters in order to provide studio facilities for members and for instructional classes,

3. to encourage and stimulate members through organized demonstrations, workshops, guest artists, and other activities,

4. to provide members with facilities for exhibiting and selling of their work,

5. to stimulate among the general public, a greater interest in and appreciation of pottery.

General info:

The  Guild’s annual membership fee is due annually on January 1st  and is valid until December 31st. Members can purchase a separate Studio Pass to use the studio spaces at our Watertown location. Members must be a minimum of 18 years of age

• the use of an outstanding studio facility, including 12 wheels; slab roller; extruder; spray booth; electric, rake and gas kilns; and more

• monthly meetings and presentations by guest artists

• participation in workshops arranged by the Guild, including kiln firing instruction

• participation in exhibitions, sales and activities sponsored by the Guild

• a copy of the Guild Handbook

• the opportunity to voice opinions and be influential through different committees and volunteer groups

• advance notice of classes

• access to various locker options for storage

• bisque and glaze firing of all your clay purchased through the Guild.

Studio Availability:

The Members’ Studio may be used from 8:30am-10:30pm, seven day a week.

Studio Equipment:

Members with a Studio Access Pass are entitled to use the equipment in the studio with proper training and adherence to safety. Clay must be purchased through the guild, and includes both bisque and glaze firing.

Library:

The Library is available to all guild members. We have a wide selection of books and videos that may be loaned for up to one month.

All Studio Pass Members are required to:

• Sign on to a Team: Cleaning Team, Kiln Team, Glaze Team, Education Team, Social Media Team, Website Team, Executive Team, Fundraising Team, Pugmill Team, etc.

• Contribute 30 service hours per year as part of a Team
