I have expressed myself through Art since childhood. In the earlier stages I focused on the representation of objects and events in the real world.

Gradually, I became absorbed with abstraction; the beauty of colour and texture began to dominate my artwork – floating fields of colour intermingled with textures produced a myriad of images in my paintings. Themes of the complexity of heritage and the human condition appeared frequently in my work.

As a teacher in international schools, I was inspired by the determination of special needs students not to be limited by their disabilities. These children became subjects in my portraits and heroes in my world.

Over the years, I have continued to learn, to experiment and to innovate.
