A new story to be told : A new painting to unfold

As an intuitive artist,I approach a new painting by lightly writing my thoughts in pencil. While eventually multiple layers of paint will cover most, if not all, I love that the words are forever intertwined within the paint. Art that tells a story. The seasons, folklore, water, trees, nature and our interconnectedness to it all strongly influence my work. Subjects range from birds and nests to wise instinctual women, with contrasts of bright vibrant colours and ethereal washes.

Creating art is the relationship that evolves between my love of nature and painting.
