I came to felting quite accidentally and unintentionally. About 10 years ago, a potter friend asked me to go with her to an all day felting workshop and after much arm-twisting, I went. At the workshop, I created several pieces, and by the end of the day, I was hooked and haven’t looked back! I am also a potter, and people often ask me which medium I prefer, pottery or felting. It’s hard to choose! I love both for different reasons. The immediacy of creating with wool and the vibrant colours available are a definite draw. Now, after many years of creating, I offer workshops in my studio for those who want to learn to felt, so I’m “playing” it forward. I have some of my works online on my website shop, and offer delivery to the adjacent towns/cities from my Carlisle studio, but am just as happy to welcome you to my studio for personal shopping by appointment, with all the covidy protocols in place, of course. There is much more to see there than I could possibly put online!
