Tom Stephens
I’m a fine-art photographer whose favourite subjects are architecture, semi-abstracts, still lifes, and landscapes. I love the beauty of decay.
The camera and the computer are both legitimate tools in the quest for beauty. Workshops with Freeman Patterson, André Gallant, and Richard Martin have contributed to my emphasis on visual design, whether in camera or later digital processing.
My images are made with a micro-four-thirds format camera that is mirrorless and light-weight. The images are printed with archival inks on archival paper or canvas and are intended to be enjoyed for many years.
Tom Stephens has exhibited widely throughout the GTA and eastern Ontario and collected many awards for his work. He earned his Master designation through competitions held by the Latow Photographers Guild at the AGB and has published in a wide variety of publications. Tom is a Past President of both the Latow Photographers Guild and the Camera Club of Ottawa.
