I find weaving meditative and I like discovering the possibilities of the yarn and thread.  Even a basic structure comes alive with different colour combinations or a nubbly texture.  I’m like a bird – attracted to shiny things – so I enjoy including yarn with a sheen or silver or gold thread running through it, sequins, ribbons, and beads.  My pieces are usually decorative accessories like scarves or table runners and pillows with the occasional practical towel or placemat when I want to try a new technique or fibre.  Every town I visit requires a visit to the local yarn shop where I pick up the most unusual skein in the store.
