My inspiration came in 2008, when I attended an art open house and watched a clay hand building demonstration. I was hooked. I thoroughly enjoyed hand building but was determined to tackle the challenge of throwing. I continue to grow and develop my skills in clay – hand building and throwing both functional and non-functional pieces. I have enjoyed firing in both electric and gas kilns and trying new glazes. The excitement when opening a glaze firing is like remembering Christmas mornings past. The excitement, challenges and learnings are endless - this is what keeps me coming back.
